Description
South Indian filter coffee is a traditional Indian style coffee, made using a special coffee filter. Learn how you will make fresh filter coffee at home.
Ingredients
· 3 tablespoons coffee powder
· 1½ cup water
· 1 ½ cup milk
· 4 teaspoons sugar

Instructions
- First take the coffee filter. Add coffee powder into the top pierced cup of the coffee filter and gently spread the coffee powder with a small spoon.
- Now press the disk and a lid.
- Boil water in a pot and slowly pour into the top cup and cover it with the lid. Wait for 20 minutes till the coffee decoction seep through into the lower compartment.
- After 20 minutes, the decoction gets collected at the bottom of the cup.
- Now take a tumbler set (traditional filter coffee set) and pour the desired quantity of decoction for an authentic feel.
- Add 1 teaspoon of sugar into each cup or adjust sugar as per your sweetness.
- Add hot boiling milk directly into the tumbler glass. Now pour the coffee from the dabarah back in the tumbler.
- Repeat this process again for 2 to 3 times. Don’t do too much as then the coffee becomes cold.
- Serve hot Filter coffee immediately as soon as it’s made.
Notes
- You need very hot water and milk to make this filter coffee.
- Also, adjust the amount of milk and coffee brew based on how strong or light you prefer.
- Additionally, you can reuse the coffee powder to prepare a decoction twice; however, it will be light.
- Finally, South Indian Filter Coffee taste great when prepared with thick milk.
