Description
Tortilla Nacho Chips are perfectly crisp, deliciously crunchy triangular chips. Simple and easy snack recipe, made using with combining wheat flour and maize flour. It can be eaten as a snack or sometimes as a complete meal, taste good with all your favorite dips like schezwan sauce or salsa dips.

Ingredients
- 1 cup maize flour (makai ka atta)
- ½ cup wheat flour (atta)
- 2 teaspoon oil
- ¼ teaspoon turmeric powder
- ½ teaspoon black pepper (crushed)
- Salt to taste
- Water as required
- Oil for deep frying
Instructions
- In a large mixing bowl, add maize flour and wheat flour along with turmeric powder, black pepper, salt and 2 teaspoon of oil.
- Mix everything well, make sure all the spices are nicely mixed.
- Add enough water and start kneading a stiff and soft dough.
- Divide the dough into 3 equal portion and dust it with wheat flour.
- Roll each portion slightly thick, dust again with wheat flour as required.
- Then roll evenly from all sides and prick with a fork.
- Now trim the sides and cut into triangles and keep aside.
- Place a deep pan on flame; heat the oil and drop the triangle chips into the medium hot oil till they turn crisp and golden brown in color from both the sides. You can also bake them in preheated oven at 180 degree C. for 25 minutes.
- Keep stirring in between on low to medium flame.
- Drain off the Nacho chips over kitchen absorbent paper.
- Repeat the same process with the rest of the dough.
- Serve Nachos chips with schezwan sauce or salsa dips.
Notes
- Make sure you knead the dough well; otherwise you will find difficult to roll as it breaks.
- Always fry nachos on low to medium flame; else it will not turn crisp.
- Prick the roll evenly with a fork, it prevents from puffing up when frying.
- Tortilla chips taste great when fried instead baking.
- Additionally, you can use tomato paste into the dough to make tangy chips.
