Description

Chocolate Walnut Brownies are a classic and beloved dessert that combines rich, fudgy chocolate with crunchy walnuts. These decadent treats are perfect for chocolate lovers and are often enjoyed as a dessert or as a sweet indulgence any time of the day. Here’s a quick and easy recipe for Chocolate Walnut Brownies:

Scale

Ingredients

  • 1 cup (225g) unsalted butter
  • 2 cups (400g) granulated sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup (120g) all-purpose flour
  • ½ cup (60g) unsweetened cocoa powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup (120g) chopped walnuts

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  • In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the butter in the microwave until fully melted. Alternatively, you can melt it on the stovetop over low heat.
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the melted butter and granulated sugar. Stir until well combined.
  • Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
  • In a separate bowl, sift together the all-purpose flour, cocoa powder, and salt. Gradually add this dry mixture to the wet ingredients, stirring until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.
  • Fold in the chopped walnuts, reserving a handful for topping if desired.
  • Pour the batter into the greased baking dish and spread it evenly.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs. Avoid overbaking to maintain a fudgy texture.
  • Remove from the oven and allow the brownies to cool completely in the baking dish.
  • Once cooled, cut the brownies into squares and serve.
  • You can dust them with powdered sugar.
  • Serve with a scoop of ice cream, if desired.

Notes

  • Make sure not to overmix the batter to avoid a dense texture. Mix until just combined.
  • You can use a toothpick or a skewer to check for doneness. The brownies should have a few moist crumbs sticking to the toothpick when done.
  • For an extra touch, sprinkle some chopped walnuts on top of the batter before baking.
