What type of oats can be used to make this recipe? So here, rolled oats are the best for overnight oats instead of steel cut oats or instant oats. These rolled oats can easily absorb the liquid.

How do we consume these overnight oats hot or cold? Well, I recommend if you simply can’t take the cold oats than you can always heat them up. They are perfect for an everyday breakfast or snack

Ingredients

  • 1 ½ ripe bananas, sliced
  • ½ cup Quaker rolled oats, dry
  • ½ cup plain Greek yogurt
  • 1 ½ tablespoon chia seeds
  • ½ cup low fat milk
  • ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 2 tablespoon walnuts, chopped

Instructions

  • In a large bowl, add 1 sliced banana and mash it with a fork.
  • Now add oats, yogurt, chia seeds, milk, and ground cinnamon to the bananas. Mix everything well.
  • Pour the oats banana mixture into two cups or serving bowls. Cover with a lid, place it in the fridge overnight and enjoy in the morning.
  • Before serving, top oats with some sliced ½ banana and chopped walnuts or any other toppings you like.
  • Enjoy!

Notes

  • There are no extra sweeteners involved as bananas already sweeten these overnight oats.
  • You can keep overnight oats for up to 5 days in the fridge into the airtight container.
  • You may add a little more milk before serving because oats soak up a lot of the liquid.
