Scale

Ingredients

  • 2 cups dry roasted peanuts
  • 12 tablespoons honey or sugar (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon peanut oil or any flavorless vegetable oil
  • Salt as per taste (optional)

Instructions

To make peanut butter

  • Put a pan on the flame, then dry roast the raw peanuts.
  • While roasting, they will start to make a popping sound too.
  • Continuously stir and roast well until the peanuts become a little dark in color and crunchy on the inside.
  • Turn off the flame and let them cool a bit.
  • Now transfer the roasted peanuts to a kitchen towel and rub the peanuts vigorously to peel off the skin.
  • Take a high-power blender or food processor and add all peanuts into it.
  • Now grind them well to make a coarse powder.
  • Add honey, salt to taste, and peanut oil (or any other flavorless cooking oil).
  • Grind it for another 4-5 seconds. Do not over-grind.
  • Delicious Peanut Butter is ready to use.
  • Store in the fridge for up to three months and at room temperature for a month.

Notes

  • Roast well the peanuts, if using raw peanuts. You can also use pre-roasted peanuts bought from the store then skip the roasting process.
  • The best way to remove the skin of peanuts is to use a cloth, add peanuts to the fabric and rub it to peel off.
  • You can add any flavorless cooking oil to the butter but do not add mustard and coconut oil.
  • For storing, you can refrigerate the peanut butter in a sealed container for up to several weeks.
  • After a couple of weeks, if your peanut butter becomes thick, you can add a tablespoon of oil and blend it once again, it will become smooth.
  • You can substitute any nut like almond, pistachio or any other nut to make butter. It has exactly the same method.
