Ice creams are appreciated and loved by all age groups, especially to kids and teenage groups. Everyone likes ice cream especially to beat the heat of summer or for different reasons and occasions. Ice cream comes in different variations, flavor and even with kinds of flavored coating like vanilla, chocolate, mango, etc. and with or without dry fruits. The one such easy and simple ice cream variation is Choco bar ice cream. You can find this ice cream in every nook and corner of the street. I’m sure; this classic ice cream is everyone’s favorite delight. This delicious and creamy ice cream takes me back, when I was a kid and I used to eat a lot Choco bar ice cream. This used to be my childhood favorite.

Choco bar is a delightful ice cream with a creamy vanilla flavor inside and a rich chocolate coating on the outside. Now you can make this delectable sweet treat at home easily, without worrying about spending on expensive ingredients.
This recipe will help you to make Choco bar ice cream without using cocoa powder, corn flour and even without cooking. Additionally, you can also use nuts to garnish this sweet Choco bar ice cream to give it a nutty twist.

How to make Choco-bar ice cream?

It is made up of few ingredients- whipping cream, condensed milk, chocolate and vanilla essence. Simply, beat the whipping cream with a hand mixer until you see stiff peaks. Then, add condensed milk and vanilla essence to it. Freeze the ice cream in ice cream moulds and then dip them in melted chocolate. Make sure, use double boiler method to melt the chocolate, otherwise chocolate will burn. This easy Choco bar ice cream can be prepared just in 15 minutes. It would taste as delicious as the original Choco Bar Ice Cream.

Description

Choco bar ice cream is such a popular ice-cream available at every nook and corner of the street. Perfectly creamy, super chocolaty, easy to make and ready in just few hours. If you missing your favorite Choco bar while at home then this quick recipe is for you that you can make any time for your loved ones.


Ingredients

Scale

For Ice cream

  • 500 grams whipping cream chilled
  • 400 grams condensed milk chilled
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

For Chocolate sauce

  • 2 cups water for double boiler
  • 150 grams dark chocolate
  • 2 tablespoons oil

Equipment

  • Chilled bowl
  • Ice cream moulds
  • Hand mixer

Instructions

Making Ice cream

  • In a large mixing chilled bowl, take whipping cream.
  • Start beating the whipped cream using hand mixer until soft peaks formed.
  • Next, add condensed milk. Give a good stir again using a spatula; make sure everything is combined well.
  • Now add vanilla essence to the ice-cream mixture.
  • Then pour the prepared mixture into Popsicle moulds.
  • Cover with the lid and freeze for 8 hours until it sets completely.

Making Chocolate sauce

  • Place the bowl onto the double boiler. Add 2 cups of water in the bottom pan. Make sure the bowl doesn’t touch the water as chocolate may burn.
  • Add chocolate to the top bowl. Melt it by stirring occasionally till the chocolate turns smooth and silky.
  • Turn off the flame; add 2 tablespoons oil to the melted chocolate. Mix it well.

Making Choco Bar Ice cream

  • Takeout the popsicles mould from the fridge. Leave it for 5 minutes on the slab. This will help in removing all ice-creams slowly from the Popsicle moulds easily.
  • Dip the ice cream in chocolate sauce completely.
  • Serve immediately or you can also freeze for 30 minutes until well set, If serving later.
  • Delicious and mouthwatering choco bars are ready to eat.

Notes

  • Always use chilled whipping cream and chilled condensed milk to make the perfect ice cream. Also, keep the whisk and the bowl in the freezer for making ice cream. This may fasten the process.
  • While dipping the ice cream, make sure slightly cool the chocolate or else the ice cream will melt and cracks will form. This should be having a pouring consistency when dipping the ice cream.
  • For rich and creamy texture, use good quality chocolate.
  • Make sure freeze the ice cream in ice cream moulds completely before dipping it in melted chocolate.
  • Additionally, you can also use nuts to garnish this sweet Choco bar ice cream to give it a nutty twist.
  • Prep Time: 15 mins
  • Cook Time: 10 mins
  • Cuisine: Indian
