Idli pizza muffins are made from Rava idli batter shaped as muffin with pizza flavour including some vegetables, which makes it healthy and delicious.

When your kids get bored eating the regular snacks and demand to eat something that looks tasty and mostly adore anything with pizza flavours. Here’s a fusion of Idli and Pizza both that will be loved by your kids.

These cheesy idli muffins flavoured with pizza seasoning and pizza sauce can be enjoyed with a hot cup of tea or Filter coffee for evening brunch or pack them in your kid’s tiffin box. If you want to have a low-calorie snack than the cheese can be omitted.

Description

The delicious, healthy steamed Idli Muffins taste almost like a pizza in a muffin form, flavoured with veggies, pizza seasonings, pizza sauce and chilli flakes. 


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup idli batter
  • 1 cup finely chopped veggies (onions, coloured capsicum, carrot, olives and jalapeños (optional)
  • ¼ cup sweet corn kernels, boiled
  • 1/3 cup mozzarella cheese, grated
  • 1 teaspoon pizza sauce
  • 1 teaspoon oregano
  • 1 teaspoon chilli flakes
  • Salt to taste

Instructions

To make Idli batter, go through with this recipe Instant suji Idli. 

  • In a mixing bowl, add idli batter, chopped veggies as per your choice, boiled sweetcorn, grated mozzarella cheese, pizza sauce, oregano, red chilli flakes and salt.
  • Mix them well.
  • Take muffin moulds, pour the batter into it and on top sprinkle few chopped veggies, oregano and chilli flakes.
  • Steam the idli muffins for 10 minutes in a steamer, the first 5 minutes on high flame and then on low flame.
  • Check it inserting a toothpick and if it comes out clean, your muffins are ready.
  • Serve these warm Idli pizza muffins with a cup of tea or coffee.

Notes

  • You can make these idli muffins low calorie by omitting cheese.
  • The quantity and choice of veggies can be increased and decreased according to your taste
  • Prep Time: 10 mins
  • Cook Time: 10-12 mins
  • Cuisine: Fusion
