Eggless Cake is a vegan tea cake made with banana, wheat flour and oats, a rich nutrient cake recipe that gives you moist, soft, mildly sweet and delicious cake. This is a quick and easy cake recipe so that everyone can make this delicious healthy cake in a short period of time. Just keep all the ingredients ready with the same measurements mentioned below and make it in a few minutes. The best thing is that you do not need a blender or mixer to mix all the ingredients. Mostly I prefer to use flour, oats and other essential foods to make a cake rather than using maida.You can have it as a tea snack or as a dessert. The crunchy toppings of oats, bananas and a chestnut make it a soft, light and spongy cake. To make this cake more healthy and diabetes friendly, you can use honey instead of sugar in it.

Egg less Tea Cake

Serves: 4

Ingredients

  • 1 cup wheat Flour
  • ¾ cup powdered oats
  • 3-4 ripe bananas
  • ¼ cup walnuts, chopped (optional)
  • ½ cup brown Sugar
  • ¼ teaspoon cinnamon Powder
  • ½ teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 ½ teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla essence
  • A pinch salt
  • ½ cup oil

Instructions

  1. First, take a large bowl and seive the whole wheat flour, oats, salt, baking powder and baking soda. Mix all together well and keep aside
  2. In another bowl, mash the ripe bananas then add oil, vanilla essence and sugar into it. Beat well all ingredients.
  3. Now add the dry ingredients mixture to the banana mixture along with chopped walnuts and cinnamon powder. Mix it properly.
  4. In a greased baking tin, pour this cake mixture in a preheated oven and bake it for 45 -50 mins over 180 degrees or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  5. Enjoy this cake with hot tea

Tips-

  • Instead of sugar, add honey to make this a diabetic friendly cake.
  • You can add any other nuts if you don’t have walnuts.
  • Check the oven temperature settings since different ovens vary in settings. Sometimes 200degrees give out a better texture.
