This super creamy pink strawberry milk is one of those simple recipes that you must try this Valentine’s Day for your loved ones. It is so delicious, easy to make and tastes much better than the store strawberry syrup. It has no added preservatives. Once you try it, you’ll never look for store bought strawberry syrup again.

Making milkshakes at home is super easy made with just 3 main ingredients as – fresh strawberries, milk and sugar. In this recipe, fresh juicy strawberries play a big role and you do not need really anything more than cold milk, whipped cream and sugar. It is a thick and frosty, easy to make and a refreshing summertime drink which can be enjoyed as a healthy breakfast beverage or an energizing snack or even as a lighter dessert. No additional flavoring or syrup is needed for this recipe.

About Strawberry Milk Recipe

This homemade shake is pretty in pink, yummy and simply addictive. It is super easy to make, thick and creamy made with the addition of fresh strawberries, milk and whipped cream to make shake more rich and creamy, but to make it more fancy – ice cream and toppings are added.

It is topped with whipped cream to fancy the shake more, you can even drizzle strawberry syrup likewise the topping options are endless. It is a best after school snack for kids

It can be made using flavored strawberry crush or even strawberry essence but nothing beats the tall glass of chilled fresh strawberry milkshake. Strawberries are so versatile that they can be used in many baked desserts, puddings, fruit salad etc.

Ingredients

To make a strawberry milkshake, you will need the following ingredients:

Fresh Strawberries: Choose fresh, red, and ripe strawberries.

Milk: Here, I have used full fat boiled, cooled and chilled milk. For vegan option you can use almond milk too.

Sugar: You can adjust the amount of sugar depending on the sweetness of the fruit. You can even skip it if you are adding more ice cream.

Heavy Cream – I added a little bit of heavy cream for a creamier/thicker milkshake. You can skip if desired and substitute with Ice cream.

For garnishing – I have used fresh strawberries and topped over the milkshake.

Serving and storage

You can serve this right after blending it. The consistency will be thick yet pourable. If you have leftovers you can stick them in the freezer for up to one week. The milkshake will freeze solid. Allow it to sit at room temperature to soften, stirring it a few times.

Variations

While a simple strawberry milkshake is always perfect, if you’re feeling adventurous, you can try one of the following variations:

Use strawberry ice cream instead of vanilla for a double strawberry milkshake.

Drizzle the inside of the glasses with chocolate syrup or hot fudge.

Add 2-4 Oreos to make Oreo strawberry milkshake.

Mix in other fruits such as peach and banana.

So, here I’m with my recipe of Strawberry Milk that is creamy and incredibly delicious without adding any ice cream or essence.

Have you tried this yet? Go ahead and try this one.

Description

This homemade super creamy Strawberry Milk is loaded with very less ingredients such as fresh juicy strawberries, milk, and sugar. It is a sweet, refreshing drink that can be made with fresh or frozen strawberries. This is an easy and fun recipe for kids and adults alike.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 30–32 fresh cherry red strawberries (about 4 cups) roughly diced
  • 1/3 cup regular granulated white sugar
  • 1½ cups full-fat milk
  • ½ cup heavy cream

Instructions

  • Rinse the strawberries and pat dry them. Remove the leaves and roughly cut the berries.
  • In a medium-size bowl, add the roughly chopped strawberries and granulated white sugar.
  • Mix them gently together until the strawberries are evenly coated.
  • Set aside the strawberries in the sugar for at least 30 minutes to soften them.
  • Then, take a blender jar and add all the softened strawberries along with milk and heavy cream.
  • Blend everything until smooth and frothy.
  • Pour strawberry milkshake into serving glasses.
  • Refrigerate and garnish with a strawberry.
  • Serve chilled.

Notes

  • You can use fresh or frozen strawberries depending on the season for this recipe. If you want a thick milkshake, use frozen strawberries.
  • You can feel free to adjust the sweetness according to your taste. You can substitute sugar with maple syrup, honey, or any sweetener you prefer.
  • Make sure to refrigerate the strawberry milkshake before serving. It will make the milk tastier.
  • If you want to avoid lactose, use any type of lactose-free milk you prefer.
