Avocado, a great first food for babies to 4 months and up, due to its texture and creaminess; it has lots of healthy fats content.

Instead of refined cereals, Avocado is a wonderful “good fat” food for baby’s brain and physical development. I love making avocado puree because it’s so easy to make with either a blender or a fork and you don’t need to cook avocados at all. As you begin to introduce a wide variety of foods for your baby, you may offer this superfood Avocado as early as possible to 4 to 6 months old baby. You’ll just need only ripe avocado and a fresh lemon to make this avocado puree. So easy!

Description

Avocado is one of the easiest baby food, rich in healthy fats for baby’s development and also amazing texture and flavor. It is a perfect first food for baby. You can serve to 4+months babies.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 ripe avocado
  • 1/4 teaspoon lemon juice (optional) prevents browning
  •  1/4 cup water or breast milk or baby milk formula

Instructions

  1. Using a sharp knife, cut the avocado into half piece and scoop out the flesh. You’ll need a fork or a food processor to blend the avocado. 
  2. Add the sliced avocado to a food processor. Adding a tablespoon of breastmilk, formula or water (if needed). Blend it until smooth, until you get your desired consistency.
  3. Serve immediately.
  4. To store, keep this puree into an airtight jar container and squeeze fresh lime juice above on. Lemon juice help to prevent browning.

Notes

  • If you wanna mash the avocado with a fork. Mash until you get the desired consistency. if needed, add little water, breastmilk or formula.
  • You can also freeze this puree into an ice cube tray. Make sure to squeeze the fresh lemon juice over it. 
  • For Combinations, you can mix with banana puree, sweet potato puree, pureed beans, or any other food you like.
  • Prep Time: 5 mins
