Ingredients

  • ½ cup butter, melted
  • ½ cup cocoa powder
  • 1 cup white sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ½ cup all-purpose flour
  • ¼ teaspoon salt avoid if using salted butter

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F. T
  2. Take an 8×8 inch square baking dish and lightly grease it with cooking oil and line it with parchment paper. Grease the parchment paper also.
  3. Combine the melted butter, cocoa powder and sugar in a medium bowl , mix until it fully dissolved.
  4. Add eggs one at a time, whisk it well, add flour, salt and vanilla extract.
  5. Whisk all together until well mixed or fully combined. Do not overmix mix the batter. Be careful while doing it.
  6. You can add 1 cup of nuts, raisins, chocolate chips or anything of your choice or desire (optional).
  7. Spread the batter into the prepared baking dish.
  8. Bake in preheated oven for approximately 20-25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean, not wet.
  9. Be careful not to over-bake!
  10. Cool completely before slicing.
  11. Cut into 9 large squares or 16 small squares.
  12. Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days.

Tips To make crackly tops on brownies, use hot melted butter. Whisk your butter and sugar really well. Beat eggs one at a time for a good minute. This step is crucial for that crackly top. Remember do not over beat the batter once the flour and cocoa powder are added. It creates air in the batter which will give you a cake-like textured brownies. Try not over bake the brownies. If you are looking for fudgy brownies then remove them from the oven when the sides have begun to shrink away from the sides of the pan but the center is still gooey. Cool completely before slicing. Keep them at room temperature or place them in the refrigerator to cool for at least an hour before cutting them. This give the best result in perfect professional cuts. If you wanna give more chocolate touch tho the brownies then chop up 4 oz of baking chocolate and mix them into the batter. This will take the brownies to the next level and make them more amazing.
