This Jam cookies recipe is buttery in taste filled with sweet jam and nuts. It is very easy to make, and the taste yummy.  You can make them with your favorite flavor of jam.

If you are going to make some sweet delights this Christmas, try to make these beautiful heart shaped cookies. They are very easy to make. These will be surely liked by your children and your loved ones; this is a best choice on this coming Christmas or on any festive occasion.

I love these cookies; they are even sweet with jam filled in. I am filling fruit jam here, which I like very much; you can add any flavor of jam you like most.

These heart-shaped cookies are soft and sweet and you can add chocolate chips, pieces of nuts, or raisins to top them. The sugar content in these cookies makes them crisp and also chewy. You can easily make it at home any time. This recipe can be made from easily available ingredients in the kitchen. You can also make a small change in the materials as per your choice. You can cut them into any shape of your choice. I am taking help of heart shape cookie cutter here. To give them a good shape, cutting them with cookie cutter is a great option.

So do not forget to share this recipe with your family and friends without any wait.

Ingredients

  • 1¼ cups Soft Butter
  • 1 cup powdered Sugar
  • 2 Eggs
  • 3 cups Refined flour (maida) + for dusting
  • 1 tsp. baking powder
  • ¼ tsp. nutmeg powder
  • ¼ tsp. Clove powder
  • ½ tsp. Salt
  • 1 cup powdered Almonds
  • Jam of any flavour of your choice as required
  • Icing sugar to dust

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, beat the butter and 1 cup of powdered sugar until light and creamy about 5 minutes.
  2. Add eggs one by one and beat with an electric beater until the mixture gets creamy and fluffy. Mix them thoroughly.
  3. In another bowl, add the refined flour and baking powder, mix this to the cream mixture and stir well.
  4. Now, add Nutmeg powder, Clove powder and salt, mix well to make a dough..
  5. Add almonds powder and mix well. Keep this in fridge for 1 hour so that it sets.
  6. Preheat oven to 180º C. Place a butter paper on a baking tray.
  7. Dust a little flour over baking tray, keep the dough over rolling board and roll it as thinly as possible with rolling pin. If the dough sticks to the rolling pin, dust a little flour over the rolled out sheet and continue to roll till you get the desired thinness.
  8. Now cut a heart shaped cookie or whatever shape you like with the help of cookie cutter over the sheet and cut out 8 heart shaped cookies. Now keep a smaller heart shaped cookie cutter in the centre of 4 cookies and cut. Remove the extra dough around the hearts.
  9. Keep all the cookie hearts on the prepared baking tray, keep the tray in the preheated oven and bake for 10-15 minutes until just golden brown.
  10. Remove them out of the oven and set aside to cool completely. When they are cooled, Pour a teaspoon of jam over the large biscuit base and then place a biscuit with a cut out heart over the jam to make a nice sandwich. Do this carefully so the jam doesn’t come out of the sides of the cookie.
  11. Arrange them on a serving plate and serve.
